Live resources

Live resources shows the units in your tracking system on the map, moving as they report. Turn it on under Data › Live resources or in the Live section of Layers & data.

It’s available when your organisation has connected its tracking system and you’re signed in.

Sign in

The first time, you’re asked to Sign in to live tracking, with single sign-on or an email and password.

The row’s status line tells you where things stand:

• Connecting… while it signs in
• a count once connected, for example All 24 units shown or 3 units hidden
• Reconnecting… if the connection drops. It keeps trying by itself.
• Disconnected, tap to reconnect if it gives up

See and hide units

Open Status from the row’s menu.

• Units lists every unit. Use the eye beside a unit to hide or show it.
• Hide all and Show all do every unit at once.
• Zoom to all fits the units you can see on screen.

Units are Online, Offline or Not reporting. Under Style on the map › Status colours, the eye beside a status hides every unit with that status. A unit’s own choice wins over its status’s.

Note

If you can edit the whole map and you’re in edit mode, what you hide is saved with the map for everyone who tracks on it. Otherwise it’s only hidden for you, until you close the page.

Style

Under Style on the map choose the Shape of the markers (circle, square, triangle or diamond), the status colours, and Show callsigns. To style one unit on its own, open its popup and choose the pencil.

Drive-time coverage

Drive-time coverage in the row’s menu opens Reach with Apply to: Resources, to show how far your units can get. Hidden units are left out. See Insights.
